Is my Stained Glass Window Repairable?

Is my Stained Glass Window Repairable?

Stained glass windows are a beautiful addition to any home, church or commercial building. They offer a focal point to any building and can be completely personalised to suit you and your preferences.

As stained glass windows are typically older it means that they can often need repair or restoration to ensure that they remain as eye catching as when first installed. You will be pleased to know that the majority of stained glass windows that we are called about are completely repairable.

Most of the time we can fix any small breakages using matching glass on site while the window remains in place, however in some cases a window needs to be completely replaced. In these situations we will recreate the existing design remaining as close as possible to the original. As much as possible we will use reclaimed materials to ensure it matches the period of the original window.

Many small breaks and cracks should be able to be fixed onsite however it is also common for us to remove the whole panel. This enables us to strip down the panel and remake using new matching lead, giving the panel a new lease of life for many more years.

Here is one example of a stained glass window restoration that we have completed recently:

In any case our main priority is to repair or restore your stained glass window back to its original quality. Send us the photos of your damaged stained glass window today and we will see what we can do! Alternatively give us a call and we can talk through your options on the phone!
